3000 New homes near east Chiltington. What does the future hold?

Near east Chiltington east Sussex, there has been a proposal for new homes proposed by Eton college. Under Andy Burnham proposal to build many homes across the UK with a further 70000 across the UK. On one hand, new homes will make it cheaper for people to move in and home the many young adults still living with their parents. On the other hand, this could mean small villages or fields or land will be demolished to make way for these new homes, potentially upsetting the locals as Sussex county is already quite developed. Same goes for other areas such as Greater Manchester there was proposal to create 10000 homes there too
