America pressuring the UK government over defence spending

 America has been targeting its NATO members over the defence budget and the UK has come under fire from it, Donald Trump has warned that if the UK does not increase its defence budget, then they will withdraw their support for the sovereignty of the Falkland island. 

This may also be an upcoming issue, ever since the Falkland wars America was there selling armaments to the UK and on the world stage defending the claim of the UK for the Falkland, but ever since Maduro has become president of Argentina and Trump being in favour of this new president. The question of whether Trump would favour Maduro's Argentina over Andy Burnham's government of the UK is coming into question. 

Although this may be the case for the future, the UK position is to hold the status quo as the UK still feels confident on its own claim of the island, ever since the war broke out the defence budget was increased so that another Falkland war would look un promising and further advances were made in the Falklands with logistics naval and air support and defences covering the island and its waters. When the Argentinians first invaded the island there were practically no defences at the time. But now it would be very costly to do so. Whether the withdrawal of the support or even the full commitment of Argentina's claims on the world stage is hard to see the overall impact of it all is.
