Infrastructure Milestone: HS2 Curzon Street Station in Birmingham Completes Major Structural Roofing Phase

  • Steel-framed architectural engineering works taking shape at the Curzon Street station construction hub in central Birmingham.
Major construction milestones have been achieved at the heart of Birmingham’s transport transformation as engineering teams working on the HS2 Curzon Street station completed the primary structural roofing and zero-carbon glazing grid. Project coordinators noted that the station—designed as one of the world's most sustainable net-zero carbon terminals—is moving steadily into interior systems integration and public concourse fitting. Once operational, the terminal will sharply cut high-speed transit times between Birmingham and London, driving commercial development across Eastside and Digbeth.
