Vicky McClure Opens New Learning Village at Nottinghamshire School

LOCATION: Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, September 11, 2026

Nottingham-born actor Vicky McClure officially opened a new learning village at St Peter's Church of England Junior School in Ruddington on Thursday.

The £6.5 million development includes four new buildings named after inspirational local figures, including McClure, footballer Viv Anderson, goalkeeper Mary Earps and mathematician Ada Lovelace.

Pupils had the opportunity to meet McClure and ask questions during the opening ceremony.

The new facilities are expected to provide improved learning spaces for pupils and strengthen the school's educational environment.
