UAE Commits $1 Billion to French Space and AI Satellite Project

The United Arab Emirates has committed $1 billion to a major French space and artificial intelligence project, strengthening cooperation between the UAE and France in advanced technology.


The project involves the planned development of a constellation of 50 satellites equipped with artificial intelligence capabilities. The satellites are designed to process information in space and could be used for applications including fire detection, infrastructure monitoring and other time-sensitive services.


The project is expected to involve French, American and Emirati technology partners. Satellite assembly is planned to take place in Abu Dhabi.
