LOCATION: Dubai, September 11, 2026
Dubai Airports expects to handle around 70 million passengers during 2026 as air traffic continues to recover from recent regional disruptions.
Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths said passenger numbers have been recovering strongly. The airport's earlier target was higher, but the company now expects the previous target to be reached by the end of 2027.
Dubai International Airport remains one of the world's major aviation hubs, with airlines gradually restoring services and passenger traffic showing a strong recovery.
The airport is also working on long-term infrastructure and resilience plans to strengthen operations against future regional disruptions.
