Dubai Airports Expects Passenger Traffic to Reach 70 Million in 2026

LOCATION: Dubai, September 11, 2026

Dubai Airports expects to handle around 70 million passengers during 2026 as air traffic continues to recover from disruptions caused by regional instability.

Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths said passenger numbers have been recovering strongly after a difficult period for aviation in the region. The airport had earlier set a higher target, but the recovery is now expected to continue into 2027.

Dubai International Airport remains one of the world's major aviation hubs, with airlines gradually restoring services and passenger traffic showing significant improvement.

Authorities and airport operators are also focusing on strengthening infrastructure and improving the resilience of airport operations.
