Camden Council Leader Selected as Labour Candidate for Holborn and St Pancras
LOCATION: Camden, September 11, 2026
Camden Council leader Sagal Abdi-Wali has been selected as the Labour Party candidate for the upcoming Holborn and St Pancras by-election.
The north London constituency became vacant following Keir Starmer’s resignation as its MP. The by-election is scheduled for October 8.
Abdi-Wali, who came to the UK from Somalia as a child, has been involved in local public service for several years and became leader of Camden Council earlier this year.
Her campaign is expected to focus strongly on local community issues and the future of residents across the constituency.
